I first discovered yoga on a whim in the fall of 2009. After stepping into the Ellsworth studio I became captivated by the rejuvenating and calming benefits yoga offered on and off my mat. I started practicing regularly and it changed the way I felt about myself and how I interacted with those around me. 

For two-and-a-half years, I had the pleasure of managing the Shadyside studio before I decided to take a risk and head to Level 1 Teacher Training in Mexico. While I was initially unsure about teaching, the support and experience from the AY Training was catalytic in my own practice and helped me believe I could in fact teach. I began teaching in the winter of 2013 and received my Level 2 certification in Costa Rica in July 2014.

I am thrilled and honored to be a part of an inspiring community of students and teachers that gather at Amazing Yoga and I love practicing alongside all the familiar faces and new ones. Teaching has offered me a way to share my love for yoga and lightness with others and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity. 

When I'm not at yoga, I'm working as the Food Service Director for the Environmental Charter School teaching kids food education and providing a healthy school lunch for my K-8 students. I am incredibly passionate about all-things food, and I love cooking up a new menu!
