I first stepped into Amazing Yoga in 2005 after a year of practicing at home on my own. I immediately responded to the strenuous, sweaty practice and how incredibly strong it made me feel. I grew up as a swimmer and had struggled to find something that would give me the same benefits as an adult. As I began practicing regularly, I realized that not only was I keeping myself in great physical shape, but I was able to see stress slowly melting from my life. My Type A personality was quickly kept in check by learning to breathe deeper and stay present on my mat.
I finally took the step to becoming a teacher by completing Level 1 Teacher Training in January 2013 here in Pittsburgh. I began teaching at Amazing Yoga in February of that same year and have loved it from day one. I also completed Level 2 Teacher Training in Costa Rica in August 2014. Being able to share this practice that is so important to me was, and continues to be, such a gift.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh in 2002. After 9 years working as a Project Manager for PNC Bank, I left to be a stay-at-home mom in 2011. I live in Franklin Park with my husband and our three children. When I’m not on my mat, you can find me cooking up something healthy in the kitchen or taking photos.
