I came to my first Amazing Yoga class in 2006. I was immediately hooked on the vigorous practice and the challenges that it brought both physically and mentally. During a brief relocation to the Washington, D.C. area, I practiced various styles of yoga including Hatha, Ashtanga, and Bikram. I enjoyed learning new methods but craved the heat of Power Vinyasa Flow. Coming back to Pittsburgh, I found my way back to Amazing Yoga and to my surprise, an entirely different experience on my mat.
This continuous practice led me to enroll in the Pittsburgh Level 1 Teacher Training in January of 2011. Each time I step onto my mat, I have the opportunity to create a new experience. It can be anything from physically powerful, to restoring energy and channeling calmness and ease. This is what motivated me to start teaching. I want my students to not only enjoy a challenging physical workout, but to discover the mental and emotional benefits as well.
I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in business. I have worked as a medical sales professional in the women’s health arena for the past 10 years. When I am not practicing or teaching yoga, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending with family and friends. I live in Point Breeze with my husband, Nate, our daughter Leona, and our dog, Cooper.
