I often walk away from my mat, thinking, What would I do without yoga? I attended my first power Vinyasa flow class in 2011, and since then, my yoga practice and the incredible community at Amazing Yoga have combined to help me reach higher heights and travel greater distances (literally) than I ever imagined possible.
For certain, I've experienced transformation on and off my mat — physical, spiritual, and emotional — but on a more basic, everyday level, yoga reminds me to stop, take a breath, and be a little easier on myself. It has helped me find lightness and confidence, and it encourages me each day to face my fears, no matter how big or small.
I'm grateful for the chance to inspire and empower my fellow yogis with this physically challenging and heart-opening practice, and to be a part of their personal journeys to health and happiness, one breath at a time.
I completed Level 1 Teacher Training through Amazing Yoga in Costa Rica in April 2013, followed by Level 2 in Tulum, Mexico, in February 2014.
When I'm not practicing or teaching yoga, I love spending Sundays in the kitchen, baking up new desserts (making super-yummy vegan, gluten-free treats is my latest challenge!). I'm a firm believer in the idea of eating cake for breakfast, and I am most peaceful when I'm near the ocean.
