I have been a yogi, mountain biker and casual runner for about 10 years. I even taught step aerobics(he, he) about 20 years ago, I know, you do the math for my age. But I have to say yoga was something I was reluctant to try because my lovely yet more “hip” sister did it and i just wasn’t sure if it was for me.
Then one day about 10 years ago in an old barn in Wexford, the site of the first AY Wexford, I decided to give it a try and WOW, was I SORE!!! Such an amazing full body workout with such little to no impact. I was apparently very “toxic” and had a lot of “stuff” to work out of my muscles. I was hooked, I wanted to learn more, I wanted to FEEL more. So I kept going and going and going, off and on and in between moves and babies, but I always came back to Amazing Yoga because it really does make you feel AMAZING!
Yoga is a moving meditation that reflects your inner being. Every time you show up on your mat you will leave different. Allow yourself to be true, to embrace how your body feels and make your practice reflect that. Yoga brings out emotions you are feeling or suppressing and allows you to make a choice to hold onto the good or let go of the bad. Your happiness and mood is a direct reflection of your thoughts. If you want to change your mood, change your thoughts. Yoga allows you to have a greater awareness of your thoughts and the beautiful body and mind that makes you….you. Ultimately when I found yoga, I found love and I hope you do too! ~xo Michelle
