I am a firm believer in making time for the things you love. However, for a long time I put many things- work, school, community events, family functions, social outings- before myself. I was always too busy rushing from one place to the next.
It was not until I started practicing yoga regularly that I saw the value and profound effects of investing in myself. I became a better person- friend, student, worker- when I carved time out of my day to slow down, listen to my body, and breathe. Yoga reminds me that I can only be in one place at a time and teaches me to be fully present on and off my mat.
I have always been drawn to the community at Amazing Yoga, and after recently completing Level 1 Teacher Training in Costa Rica, I feel blessed to play a larger role. As a teacher, I am eager to connect with students and inspire them to be the best versions of themselves.
Off the mat, I am active with several nonprofits in Pittsburgh and I work as a Project Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to improve the health of moms and babies in the community.
