Greetings!
Do you want to inspire others? Are you ready to take your practice to a new level? Join a special group of people who are ready to step out of the comfort zone and make a change in the world.

If you are answering yes to these questions this is the training for you.  This is not your ordinary training. This is an opportunity to make real transformative change happen. We have experienced this process and have facilitated it with many students. We invite you also to join a group of committed students for some intense time to reflect and learn how the power of yoga can facilitate change for you. It’s a great idea to take at least a couple of classes from us to see whether you jive with our teaching style.  Other than that you just need to bring an open mind and an adventurous spirit.  Expect to have an in-depth yoga experience, which is the place yoga knowledge originates. This training is not just about presenting and memorizing information. This is an exclusive opportunity for transformative growth. You will hone the skills necessary towards sharing your practice with others! At the end of the training you will feel Amazing, strong, open, peaceful, and calm. We look forward to meeting you. Feel free to approach us anytime, email info@amazingyoga.net, or call the Shadyside studio at 412-661-1525.

Sincerely,
Sean and Karen Conley

About the Training:
Teaching is simply sharing the knowledge of experience. Our goal as teachers is to cultivate an understanding of yoga and attempt to live that understanding. Let the teaching be our life. Teaching yoga goes beyond the yoga classroom. This training is not about simply parroting information. This training does not support a rigid or dogmatic expression of yoga. This teacher training will transform your life and the lives of others. You will develop the skills to successfully lead a dynamic power vinyasa class. We will cover the fundamental postures and how to sequence the asanas in a fluid manner. Also, we will discuss anatomy/physiology and how it relates to postures and alignment. This training is for aspiring and experienced teachers or students who want to deepen their practice.  It is a system of yoga that is so foundationally solid that no matter what else you may go on to study or teach, you will have a solid blueprint from which to work.

"The Amazing Yoga Teacher Training Program transformed my dream of becoming a yoga teacher into reality. The training’s accessible curriculum provided me with skills necessary to be both confident and effective in the classroom, as well as enriched my personal practice. Whether your goal is to share your love of Power Vinyasa Yoga with others or simply deepen your own understanding of asana, this course is the next logical step on your yogic journey."

Amazing Yoga Teacher Training Program Spring 2007

Why should Amazing Yoga be your yoga school of choice?:  Because we believe our teacher training program is the most comprehensive and proven training system in the Pittsburgh area. It is a program that will empower you not just in your teaching but also in how you choose to live.  It is not an opportunity to learn traditional yoga philosophy and history. It is an opportunity to learn how to meld the perfect blend of technical knowledge and radiant spirituality into your teaching style. The focus will be on all aspects of teaching and living the principles of yoga within a contemporary context and language. It is an exclusive opportunity to grow, connect, and contribute to your overall growth as a teacher and/or as a person.  The physical aspects of Amazing Yoga were inspired by Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga. Karen and Sean have trained extensively with Baron Baptiste over the past 6 years.  Baron Baptiste’s style is infused by the hatha yoga teachings of Krishnamacharya and his students Iyengar and Desikachar.

Course Goal:  Whatever the direction our journey may be, our goal is to create masters by facilitating a well-rounded understanding of yoga and yoga practice through the knowledge of experience. Another goal is to create excitement about and support for our yoga practice which spills out of each one of us to all that we touch, as well as cultivating the art of sharing, teaching, instructing, and giving.

Certification:  Our teacher training program meets the requirements of the 200 HOUR Yoga Alliance Registry Program. Yoga Alliance is the nationally and internationally recognized registry for yoga teachers and yoga schools. Karen and Sean Conley, co-founders of AY, and their staff will lead the certification program.  All students who successfully complete the program will become Certified Power Yoga Teachers.
