Sean Conley has practiced various styles of yoga for over 20 years and has been an instructor for over 15 years. He has explored the physical forms of yoga as well as the philosophical and spiritual origins of yoga.

Sean spent four years in The National Football League. His career was cut short due to injuries from overtraining his body. His injuries helped him stumble into his discovery of yoga as a way to heal the body and mind.

Sean combines upbeat, inspirational music with a relaxed, easy spirituality that makes his power yoga classes at Amazing Yoga a fun and motivational experience. He is honored and grateful to have the opportunity to share his love of yoga and experience with others.

Lee Gutkind, recognized by Vanity Fair as “the Godfather behind creative nonfiction,” is the author or editor of more than 30 books and founder and editor of Creative Nonfiction, the first and largest literary magazine to publish narrative nonfiction exclusively

Lee has presented his “true story immersion” techniques to audiences around the world, and has been featured on many national radio and televisions shows, including Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Good Morning America, National Public Radio’s Talk of the Nation and All Things Considered, as well as BBC World.

His book, You Can’t Make This Stuff Up: The Complete Guide to Writing Creative Nonfiction, From Memoir to Literary Journalism to Everything in Between, is, according to Kirkus Reviews, “Reminiscent of Stephen King’s fiction handbook On Writing—an accessible, indispensable nonfiction guidebook from an authority who knows his subject from cover to cover.”

Lee has also been practicing yoga, and he believes that yoga provides an avenue of meditation and energy that leads to creative thinking and compelling expression that can impact and change lives.

These rates include: All retreat sessions, 7 nights accommodations, 3 buffet-style meals per day, and taxes. Rates do not include airfare, tips to Blue Spirit staff, and transfer transportation. All accommodations are shared between two people, unless you choose to pay for private accommodation (singles are limited). If you're coming on your own and would like us to find someone to share with you, we would be happy to do this.

Air:  Arrive/Depart Liberia (LIR) Airport.
Blue Spirit Resort will arrange for your transportation to and from the Liberia Airport by a reputable and trusted driver.
Schedule your arrival into LIR Airport on the start date of the retreat.  Schedule your departure for any time on the last day.


  • The $300 deposit (applied towards retreat) is non-refundable and non-transferable. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the beginning of the retreat.
  • No refunds for canceling within 30 days of the retreat.
  • Students will receive a confirmation email confirming your registration and payment.
  • Amazing Yoga and Lee Gutkind reserves the right to amend this policy at its sole discretion.
